I have a product key for Office Pro Plus, however, I accidentally installed the version. When I realised this, I proceeded to download the version. Only problem is, Office is set as default for opening all office files. I cannot seem to change this in settings. After doing so, an error came up and the uninstall cancelled. When trying a second time, the error "the language of this installation package is not supported by your system. I've also tried to use Microsoft's Fix It, which failed as well.

Next, I downloaded a Microsoft Office uninstaller. This appeared to work, as Office was removed from the start menu. It's also still the default program. Does anyone know how to either set Office as the default program, or uninstall Office completely?

How to get rid of microsoft office professional plus 2010 activation wizard free.Guide – Remove Microsoft Office Activation Wizard pop-up (Solved in Mar.2020 )

After installing Project, a pop up to activate these product appears. Any idea how to stop that activation wizard using cutomization tool? Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Have you actually activated the product with Microsoft?

You can do this on the Internet or by phone. It only has to be done once. I'm somewhat mystified by your response. Project Activation should be a simple process of installing project and clicking on the activation button at the end of the process.

I'm sure Microsoft would not have required the procedure you went through. I am thus still concerned that the actual process of activation to Microsoft has been properly completed, particularly so as the pop-up keeps appearing.

In the pop-up did you select to activate? If you did, apart from suggesting you remove and re-install Project, I don't have anythong else to suggest. Are you using Project Server by any chance? Note: This activation process is not a genuine solution. But if you don't have money to buy the MS Office activation key then you can use this.
