I have a product key for Office Pro Plus, however, I accidentally installed the version. When I realised this, I proceeded to download the version. Only problem is, Office is set as default for opening all office files. I cannot seem to change this in settings. After doing so, an error came up and the uninstall cancelled. When trying a second time, the error "the language of this installation package is not supported by your system. I've also tried to use Microsoft's Fix It, which failed as well.
Next, I downloaded a Microsoft Office uninstaller. This appeared to work, as Office was removed from the start menu. It's also still the default program. Does anyone know how to either set Office as the default program, or uninstall Office completely?

In reply to Trojan's post on January 17, In reply to Mike Glen's post on January 18, Hi Mike, thanks for responding. The idea was to stop the pop-up window for activation to appear on screen. I figured out how to stop that so the activation can be done in the background.
